Where this turf is used
Gym turf has to survive sled pushes, dropped dumbbells and rope work, so the specification is different from landscape turf: crimped yarn for traction, a 5 mm PU backing for cushioning, and a short 14 mm pile that does not trap chalk.
Construction and specification
The yarn is polyethylene at 5,500 Dtex with a 3/16 inch gauge and 79,800 stitches per square metre, on a 5 mm PU backing. Standard colours are green, black and blue, and gauge marks, logos and agility ladder designs can be built in.
